It’s a great question, as people often use the terms interchangeably! Traditionally, a skylight was installed on a pitched roof, fitting in line with the tiles or slates, like the windows you see in loft conversions. A rooflight, or roof lantern, was more commonly designed for flat roofs, often sitting on a raised kerb. Today, the lines are blurred, but whatever your home needs, we can help you find the perfect product to bring more light in.

Almost any roof can be fitted with a rooflight, but the type of product and installation method will differ. For pitched roofs, we install sleek, in-plane skylights that blend with your roofline. For flat roofs on extensions or garages, we can fit modern flat glass rooflights or elegant roof lanterns to create a stunning architectural feature.
